Millbrook's 3rds soccer team walked away with a 4-3 victory over Indian Mountain School, ending their winless streak at 3 games.
The Mustangs played strong throughout the game, capitalizing on a great through ball by Matt Gosieski to take a 1-0 lead off of a goal by Henry Rosenberg. The boys would lead throughout the rest of the game with a strong, focused, and efficient effort.
Adam Lucas kept things going in the 1st half with his hustle and energy. His energy led to a miscue by the opposition which resulted in a goal. After an IMS goal, Henry Rosenberg tallied his second goal with the assistance of Lucas and Zach Brasser.
In the second half, the Mustangs continued to show great energy scoring within the first few minutes. Brasser scored his lone goal of the game off of an assist by Ian Connelly. The defense played well, especially in the 2nd half, thanks to the leadership and effort of Wyatt Winfrey, Jackson Lee, Walker Hincenberg, and Mike Vance.
David Waterman played a strong game in goal stopping 10 of 13 shots.
The Mustangs will try to build upon this game this coming Wednesday, October 16, on the road against Trinity-Pawling.
