Millbrook played a complete offensive and defensive game en route to a 4-1 victory over Kent School.
The Mustangs were paced by four different goal scorers in Wednesday's matchup against Kent. Taddeo Galli scored on a breakaway off of an assist from Zach Brasser. Henry Rosenberg finished a beautiful corner from Andrew Purse to put the Mustangs up 2-0 going into halftime. After a Kent goal, Henry Carr put home a rebound off of a penalty kick, resulting in his first goal of the season. Jack Loessberg scored in the 80th minute to put the Mustangs up 4-1, a score that would stand until the final whistle. Goalie David Waterman made 13 saves on 14 shots, including an early acrobatic save that kept the game scoreless at that time.
The Mustangs were led by the extremely strong defensive play of Wyatt Winfrey, Mike Vance, Walker Hincenbergs and Bryce Sommer. Matt Gosiewski, Arthur Meadowcroft, Mitchell Austrian and Gavin Schneibel played well on both sides of the ball, maintaining possession for the Mustangs. A team is nothing without communication and Adam Lucas, Jackson Lee, Ian Connelly and David Yu contributed to the win with great talk and leadership.
Millbrook will look to continue their winning ways when they travel to Taft School on Saturday, 9/21.
