Millbrook vs. Berkshire

Sam Tarnasky
The game opened at a high tempo. Both teams were moving the puck well and making each other work to get a break. Millbrook skated well and took care of the defensive zone for the early part of the first period. Unfortunately, a couple critical errors in the middle of the period allowed Berkshire to score 3 quick ones in a 5 minute span. Millbrook rallied after these goals and calmed their game down. The first period ended 3-0. The second period proved to be an equally challenging battle. The girls worked hard. With 8 minutes left in the 2nd period, Marianne Thomaris was able to break through and net one, assisted by Megan Ahern. Berkshire answered back a couple minutes later, making it 4-1. The third period showed the Mustangs digging deep. They battle hard, took care of the puck and worked to earn back the momentum. The third period remained scoreless, leaving the score 4-1 at the final buzzer.
