Mustangs tip the cap to Salisbury

The Mustangs played another clean game but Salisbury also played flawless.  After walking the bases loaded in the 4th, a seeing eye single opened the door to a big inning for Salisbury in the 4th.  Sometimes you have to tip your cap to the other team and admit that you just got beat – but we didn’t beat ourselves.  Outfielders Harrison Gostfrand ’11, Andrew Hughes ’10 and Tim Cooney ’11 all made nice running plays.    Mustang pitchers threw the ball well despite 7 walks, as five of the seven were 6 pitch or more at bats.  We didn’t give away any at bats.  Our runs came from three hits in the 4th, a nice single by Jason San Antonio ’10, a long triple by Carl Rasmussen ’12 and a solid single by Tim Cooney ’11.  Jason Greenfield ’13 added another single.  We will continue to improve and look forward to our Spring Parent’s Weekend game vs Williston on Saturday at 2pm.
