Mustangs start the season playing good baseball

We continued our offensive ways banging out 10 hits and drawing 6 walks on the way to a 5-3 win on the road.   Grayson Voges ’12 collected three hits on the day while driving in 2.  Jason San Antonio ’10 and Harrison Gostfrand ’11 contributed two hits and two runs apiece.  Up and down the lineup the Mustangs battled every at bat, seeing lots of pitches and giving ourselves opportunities.  But the story of the game was Senior Captain John McCulla ’10.  John threw a complete game in an efficient 102 pitches, striking out eight while only walking two.  He also had four putouts and one assist including an incredible catch on a line drive.  Offensively, he drove in two on a pair of singles and scored a run.  We will take the field at Berkshire on Wednesday in our first Young Division game.
