Boys Finish Season with a Fustrating Loss to Berkshire
The Boys Varsity Hockey Team finished off their season on Wednesday @ #1 Berkshire. Having played Berkshire earlier in the year and losing 6-1 at home, we were ready to give it all we had against the Bears. Unfortunately, Berkshire took it to us with quick puck movement, ability to finish, and their shutdown defense. At the beginning of the game, it looked like we were ready to compete, as Sophomore Joe Theriault scored the game's first goal to give us a 1-0 lead early. After that, there was no offense for Millbrook. We just couldn't seem to find the back of the net, as Berkshire seemed to be able to find the back of our net quite easily. Junior Jamie MacMillan played well, stopping 35 out of Berkshire's 42 shots, but unfortunately, he didn't have much to show for a 7-1 loss. That concludes the regular season, and finishes Millbrook at 8-19-1. A disappointing season at times, the boys never forgot why they play the game. Moving forward the Empire Cup this weekend, the team is pumped and ready to go. Our Seniors our exited, and we know our fans our too. Hope to see you there.
