Nice OT win against Albany

Ah Finally! WOW. That's pretty much the only word one can think of when describing that game. Winter Weekend. Home crowd. Sunday. All that and more added to the excitement of stepping on the ice. The boys changed their mentality for this game in a way that hasn't been seen yet this season. They got pumped up, and so did that home crowd! A very close battled game overall, Millbrook had the lead at the end of the first; 1-0. Albany came back quickly and by the end of the second period, Albany took the lead back and made it 3-2. Going into the second intermission, Millbrook was getting to go, as they were going to have a 5 on 3 powerplay opportunity stepping onto the ice in the third. It seemed to go that way all game for the Stangs. The refs buckled down big time on any trash talk, and didn't allow it. Brook had 3 5 on 3 opportunities, mainly because of a couple of Unsportsmanlike conduct calls on Albany; including a misconduct. Jamie MacMillan (09') played a very solid game, especially making some key saves in the first period. Goals came from Swartwood (10'), Dubuc (2) (09'), Theriault (10'), and Job (10')  Once and for all, everything seemed to go our way out on the ice. It was a nice feeling coming away with the win at home. It looks like this is going to be a turn around point in the Stangs' season. They look to take on Gunnery on Wednesday, January 30th, at home, and look for some revenge from the beating they gave us when we visited them. Should be a good game!
