The girls add yet another shut out and finish off with their best season ever!

What a great win to end our regular season, and to honor our seniors-- Mimi, Allie, Molly, Alex and Jane. The entire team was very pumped for this game. The underformers decorated the team bench, put up posters around campus; our parents organized flowers, all to recognize the contribution of our five seniors. They will be missed in 2008, but their work is not finished in 2007! Off to the post season we go!

As for the Miss Porters game, the team played very well. We were on offense the entire game earning over ten corners in the first half alone.  Goal number 1 came at 23:20 off corner #2, as Kane blasted a hard shot from the top of the circle which Anthony tipped in. Kane with the assist. At 15:34, VonKlencke scored off a scrum in front of goal; Anthony and Zublin with assists. Miss Porters defenders were very physical, plus they had the entire team in the circle so it was very hard to find any space to score, but our offensive line was dogged. In the second half, with Millbrook's entire bench in, plus positions switched around (even goalie Morrison played out in the field) Millbrook scored two more goals, off the fine efforts of Anthony who played one of her prettiest games ever, dodging defender after defender, setting up play after play with composure. Kane scored the 3rd goal off an Anthony pass to Scher who tipped it to Kane who finished. Assists to Anthony and Scher. Kane scored again with another assist from Scher.  Jane Maglaque played the entire game in goal making a several clutch saves at the end to preserve her shut-out. It is to Jane's credit she has an undefeated record at Millbrook School. She had 6 saves on the day. Defenders Zimnoch and Ehrenreich both played solid D, never once letting Miss Porters fast breaks get past them.  Senior Fresne, at left midfield, hustled hard, continuing her amazing streak of great games.

Kudos to the Millbrook field hockey team for its best season EVER  (11-2-3) and kudos to our seniors for their leadership.
