The game against Brunswick
was an exciting, though disappointing, contest which saw the Mustangs dominate
play but fail to win. The game began evenly as the two teams traded offensive
opportunities. Brunswick
capitalized first, scoring in the 25th minute. Possession time was even,
however, and Millbrook had several good chances, too. An unfortunate mistake in
the 47th minute resulted in a free kick for the visitors, and the Bruins
capitalized to lead by 2. From this point, Millbrook worked furiously to climb
back into the contest and Brunswick
tried to make their lead stand up. With just under 12 minutes to play, Farrell
created a great individual run which resulted in a goal, putting the Mustangs
on the scoreboard. Despite superb play from many, Millbrook could not get the
equalizer as time expired. Fiore and MacTavish played superbly in the losing
cause, ably assisted by Vogis and Harvey.
