Millbrook @ Berkshire

Monday afternoon, the Mustangs journeyed to Berkshire for a game on the artificial turf. After an abbreviated warm-up, things started badly as Berkshire scored in the 4th minute. Responding admirably, Millbrook settled down, played sound soccer and climbed back into the contest. Two fabulous goals by Mactavish, both assisted by Baldo, put Millbrook in front at the half. Superb defensive work denied Berkshire their preferred method of attack and closed down their offense. A penalty kick by Baldo at the midpoint of the second put Millbrook up by two. Berkshire rallied admirably, scoring the equalizer with 7 minutes to play. Playing for the win and left vulnerable by a fierce offensive rush, Berkshire saw Mauri slip in behind the defense and score the game winner with less than 3 to play. Naeff and Lehrecke were especially effective on defense while Harvey, Benjamin and Bailly each turned in a strong game at the midfield.
