Mustangs take postseason win!

The Mustangs win against an opponent they lost twice to in the regular season! Milbrook overcame a Forman game opening kickoff TD with failed conversion to tie 6-6 in the 3rd quarter with a 20 yard run play by TE Ryan Davis `19. Davis took the handoff and then juggled it seemingly on purpose but hung on to carry the ball into the end zone. A 2-point conversion attempt failed for the Mustangs. Forman then took the lead on a pass reception TD but failed to convert to take the lead at 12-6. Next, the Mustangs scored on a 30 yard TD reception by team co-captain TE Trevor Herter '17 from QB Jake Talhami '19 and made a 2 point conversion by Talhami to take the lead 14-12 to the end of the game. Co-captain Tau Loving '17 almost returned a kickoff for a TD, but barely stepped out of bounds or he would have scored. A few fumbles and bungled snaps slowed down the Mustang offense but did not stop them. The Mustang defense was consistently tough and featured a pass interception by honorary co-captain MLB Jordan Auerbach '18, among strong tackles by a number of Mustangs to virtually shut down the Forman running offense throughout the game. The Forman team awarded their player of the game award to Mustang co-captain Tahrieq Koonce '17.  Koonce turned around and gave the award to the entire Millbrook team.
