Millbrook traveled 2 and half hours to Pomfret and back on Saturday to face a more experienced and larger in number and size Pomfret team. At the beginning of the game, Millbrook's defense was able to keep up with the Pomfret offense but missed tackles and assignments allowed Pomfret to score. The Millbrook offense did have some success on plays with a long pass from Jake Talhami to Tao Loving who made a spectacular catch for a 30+ yard play. However, the Pomfret defense was able to make a few interceptions because the Pomfret defensive line was able to rush the passer for most of the game and also to keep Millbrook's run game in check. Tahrieq Koonce was also a solid and consistent performer on offense and defense throughout the game despite being hit hard many times by larger Pomfret players.
