Kent Beats Mustangs

The Millbrook Varsity Field Hockey team fell to Class A power Kent, 7-1, at home on a beautiful fall day on Wednesday. The Mustangs came out with energy, and took advantage of Kent being back on its heels by taking the ball down the field and earning a corner within seconds of the opening whistle. Chloe Robinson '19 sent in a pretty injection to Riley Croghan '18 at the top of the circle. Croghan whistled in a drive that Emma Gotthelf '19 deflected past the Kent keeper for the 1-0 lead. However, Kent evened up the score at 1-1 soon after and didn't look back. Kent had a 3-1 lead at the half and then put up 4 more in the second. The Mustangs got close on several more occasions but couldn't find the back of the cage. Millbrook will travel to Class C rival Westover on Saturday.
