Millbrook Comes Back for the Win

Millbrook took the field at home against Pomfret School on Saturday afternoon. While thunder clouds threatened overheard, the Mustangs jumped out to an early 4-1 lead. 

They were, however, unable to hold these lead and surrendered five runs in the fifth by way of porous defense. Staring a two-run deficiit in the face, Millbrook tacked on a run in the bottom of the fifth on a '17 Jack Quaratararo RBI double. Millbrook surrendered another unearned run in the top of the seventh and entered their final frame down two. 

'18 JonJon Conahan led off with a single and '16 Connor Morrisroe promptly brought him home with a 2-run HR to tie the score. After two quick outs, '17 Eli Gordon singled up the middle. Gordon would advance to 3B on a '16 Andrew Colangelo groundball and scored the winning run on an ensuiing rundown.

Morrisroe earned a CG win, repeatedly battling through adversity and rising to each successive challenge.

Millbrook will travel to Gunnery for their final regular season game on Monday at 4:30 PM.
