Mustangs Split Against Salisbury and Avon Old Farms

The Mustang golf team traveled to Massachusetts to play host Salisbury and Avon at Wyantenuck Golf Club.  As the round unfolded, conditions worsened with wind and cold, but the boys from Millbrook rose to the challenge.  They were narrowly edged by Avon who recorded a five player total of 209.  The Mustangs posted 210 and Salisbury put up 237.  The medalist was Avon's number one player who recorded 38, but Millbrook's Zach Copolla was on Avon's heels with 39.  Andrew Purse contributed with a 41.  Rory Gagnon and Taddeo Galli each carded 42.  The fifth score used was Aidan Parker's 46.  George Flinn also competed, but he succumbed to the difficult conditions.  The team is performing well and will host Canterbury next week.
