JVFH Undefeated

The girls have been working hard to maintain their undefeated record. Yesterday was no exception. Working hard in the first half, the team just couldn't place the ball behind the Kent wall of defense, even after 10 minutes of pressure in Kent's defensive end. As the game went on, Millbrook began to get tired and Kent took advantage of that and scored. In the second half, Millbrook was fired up and their intensity paid off when Caroline Reilly assisted Patty Smith in our first goal, tieing up the game. Minutes later Tess Toland surprised Kent and was able to push another goal in the net. It was a tough battle to hold off Kent with 15 minutes left in the game. A great job by Jen Hughes, Tess Toland and Laura Toland, their tireless energy helped keep up the intensity and pressure on Kent. Gracie Filler played goalie, having three saves and playing an intrigal part in the four defensive corners we had.
