Tremendous Effort

The Lady Mustangs played their best game of the year against Kent.  The final score was in no way indactive of the game that took place.  After the first period, Millbrook was down 1-0, but they had amassed more shots on goal int he one period than all their other games combined.  Coming out for the second, the girls had a 3 minute let down and Kent scored 3 quick goals.  Millbrook settled down and the remainder of teh period saw balanced play.  In the the third period, Millbrook was pressing in the offensive zone and opened themselves up to counter-attacks.  This resulted in another 3 goals.  Millbrook took 23 shots throughout the game and buzzed around the Kent goal most of the game.  Feitelson and Hardy led the team with 7 shots each and Emma scored the lone goal.  Amber Koenigsberger made 23 saves on the day.  Most everyone contributed to the offensive surge, gettign a shot or making a pass to set up a shot. The Lady Stangs are hoping ot build on this game when they face Rumsey Hall again next Wednesday.
