The Millbrook Third's soccer team notched their second win in a row when, on a blustery crisp day, they defeated the Crimson Knights of Salisbury. Salisbury opened the scoring with a goal at the 10 minute mark and another at the 29 mark. Down 2 goals at the half, the Mustangs came out for the second half with a rejuvenated spirit and the wind at their backs. Daniel Maltz cut the Saints' lead in half when he scored off a Gib Mitchell cross. 12 minutes later, Trevor Leifer scored from about 20 yards out when Nick Meredith started an indirect free kick by passing off to Leifer. Shortly thereafter, Colin Stuart was the beneficiary of a long rebound and shot a floater from about 25 yards that sailed over the Salisbury keeper and dipped below the cross bar. 2 minutes later, Colin Hinrichs salted away the game when he buried a Gib Mitchell cross. The Mustang defense of Connor Elwell in goal, Zach Keller-Coffey, Nick Meredith, Colin Stuart, Micah Adams and John Hersey allowed the offensive explosion by shutting down the Salisbury offense in the seond half and allowing the Mustangs to build momentum.
