Spotlight on Stewardship: Alumnus Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. to Speak at Cary Institute

Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. '72 is currently a clinical professor at Pace University and a senior environmental attorney for the Natural Resources Defense Council and Riverkeeper, an environmental 'neighborhood watch' program working to protect the nation's waters. He has been a resolute defender of the environment, named by Time magazine as one of the "Heroes for the Planet" after his success in leading the fight to restore the Hudson River.
Robert will be speaking to an audience at the Cary Institute of Ecosystem Studies in Millbrook on February 19 from 7-8:00 PM and will be addressing environmental issues across the Americas. His work both locally, fighting to protect New York City's water supply, and across the continents, such as negotiating treaties to protect traditional tribal homelands, will be of great interest to anyone who strives to live responsibly as a steward of the environment.

Robert has spoken at Millbrook and was the commencement speaker for the class of 1998; while visiting, he took the opportunity to visit with his god-daughter, Zoe Hayduck '00.

If you are a Millbrook alumnus/a or friend and would be interested in hearing Robert speak at IES, please contact Vicki Doyle at doylev@caryinstitute.org after February 5th.
