Mustangs loose in their Home Opener

The boys varsity hockey team got off to a great start on a quick goal by Nick Turro (09') to take a 1-0 lead early in the first. Canterbury quickly came back with three goals of their own to take a 3-1 lead by the end of the first period. Throughout the rest of the game, the Mustangs were in the box too many times, taking a total of 10 penalties throughout the game. Canterbury took advantage of their power plays and even created a short-handed marker to come away with a 6-2 win. Kirk Baldo (08') had our second goal late in the third. The boys take a long bus ride to Winchendon on Saturday for a 5:00 PM game and hope to get things going for the rest of the season.
