The Mustangs didn't come to the field with their A game, and to beat a team as competitive as Berkshire, who had skill, size and speed, we needed our A game. Berkshire was able to move the ball; their big free hits penetrated our defense, and they hustled in the circle, getting off multiple shots. Millbrook had very little offense in the first half. The score was 2-0 at halftime. Millbrook play improved in the second half, however, as Anthony, who played a solid game, Von Klencke and Zublin combined for several very exciting fast breaks with real scoring opportunities. We were a little unlucky that one or two shots missed their mark, wide of the left goal post. Our only goal was scored on a penalty corner hit by Kane, deflected in by Zublin. Kane with an assist on the goal. Morrison in goal played a phenomenal second half, keeping us in the game. The team rallied in the closing minutes, applying pressure, not giving up, but heat and fatigue took their toll and we came up short.
