A Sad Millbrook Loses a Former Faculty Member

We are sorry to report that former faculty member David Bryden passed away on Friday, March 16, 2007 in Charlottesville, Virginia. He had been a Spanish teacher from 1977 through 1988, then later on taught at the Blue Ridge School in St. George, Virginia. Mr. Bryden was special in the eyes of his students during his eleven years at Millbrook; in fact, the class of 1986 dedicated their yearbook to him. That dedication reads as follows: "Mr. Bryden's contact with the students are numerous and diverse. He is always 'there', and our class would have been lost in the process if it were not for his strong guidance and reassurance. As the head of the Strong Box and a popular faculty member, Mr. B. has motivated our class to keep going even through the worst of times. Millbrook has a great deal to offer, and no one expresses that as much as Mr. Bryden does." He will be missed greatly by all in the Millbrook family, and our special thoughts are with his family.
