<b>Millbrook In Montreal</b>

On Saturday, November 18th, Millbrook School and its varsity ice hockey coaches made their annual recruiting trip to Montreal, Quebec. This year, however, the trip also included a fun and exciting alumni gathering in downtown Montreal.

Saturday began with a competitive hockey game between Concordia University, whose roster includes seven Millbrook alumni, and York University. Concordia took the win 6-3 with alum Brad Gager ’04 recording two goals and two assists, while Jason Belivaeu ’03 added a goal of his own. Mike Arnold ’06 and Ronnie Smith ’03, defensive partners, were stalwarts on the blue line with Tyler Doherty ’01 and Jordan Topor ’04 providing some offensive punch. Ryan Smith ’06 was unfortunately out due to an injury but is expected back shortly after the holidays. It was a proud moment for Millbrook School and a good win for Concordia.

Later that evening the Alumni Office held a small alumni gathering at the Hard Rock Café in downtown Montreal. Millbrook hockey alumni, current coaches and current parents shared a fun-filled evening remembering the past, catching up on the present, and discussing the future. Attending alumni ranged from members of the class of 1997 to recent graduates from the class of 2006. Millbrook School hopes that this will be the beginning of an annual reception in Montreal and looks forward to another wonderful gathering next year.
