GoodMenders Forum

Nick Nowak, Director of Student Life at Cardigan Mountain School, delivered a Friday night all-school forum presentation and led discussions the next day at Saturday Morning Programming. An experienced teacher, coach, counselor, and administrator, Nick formed GoodMenders, LLC as a means of sparking conversation and raising awareness about toxic masculinity, gender awareness and sensitivity, and other issues of identity. With an emphasis on considering these ideas through mindfulness and self-awareness, Nick addressed the goal of driving our campus toward a vision of kindness, inclusion, and gender equity. On Saturday morning, Nick spent time with a smaller group of younger students to help them define their plans to advance campus culture.

 

“Nick’s presence offered us an opportunity to talk about myriad topics of interest and consequence to our student body,” said Billy Thom. “These conversations will continue throughout the school year in various areas of student life.”
