Leading the Way Back: Peer Counselors, Dorm Leaders, and Curators

Millbrook welcomed over 60 student leaders back to campus yesterday to kick off the 90th school year. COVID-19 has changed the way we gather and how we are starting school, but Millbrook's mission remains as important as ever. In a community where every student is known and needed, Millbrook is the ideal school, located in the best possible setting, to bring students safely back to learning in person.

Behind their masks and from a safe distance, returning students greeted classmates and faculty as they moved into dorm rooms and started meeting in peer counselor, dorm leader, and zoo curator training sessions throughout the day. All groups took advantage of Millbrook's many ideal outdoor gathering places like the amphitheater outside of Koenigsberger Hall, Flagler Quad, and Durand Quad. The first students back on campus, they are preparing to greet Millbrook's youngest new students, the incoming IIIrd form, when they arrive throughout the day on Wednesday. New IVth, Vth, and VIth form students arrive on Thursday, and returning students will filter in through the rest of the week.

Rigorous health and safety protocols designed over the break are in place and all students must sign a contract to indicate their understanding and solidify their commitment to the health and safety of their classmates, faculty, and staff.

We are looking forward to seeing the smiling eyes of all our new and returning students!
