Mustangs Defeat Canterbury 50-42

Facing their second opponent in two days the Millbrook Mustangs embraced the opportunity to compete with confidence to defeat the Canterbury Saints 50-42. After a slow start the Mustangs controlled the first half and went into the break with a 24-14 lead. During the second half the Mustangs were able to expand the lead to as many as 18 due to their great ball movement and aggressive transition offense. The Mustangs snapped the ball around the perimeter against the Saints zone and were opportunistic with their opportunities to drive to the rim and throw the ball inside. Down the stretch the Saints continued to battle and made some strong defensive plays + 3 pointers to close the gap. All Mustangs got minutes and contributed to their second win in as many days. Millbrook is looking to build on these games with two good practices before a road game at Westover on Wednesday this week.
