Mustangs Close Out Season with 1-0 Win over Miss Porter's

The Millbrook Varsity Field Hockey team ended its season in style, beating Miss Porter's 1-0 in a tense and hard-fought game. Despite a few chances, neither team could get on the board in the opening half. However, five minutes into the second, the Mustangs put real pressure on the Porter's defense, and Ellie Muckstadt '18 finally knocked home a pass from Emma Gotthelf '19 for the game-winner. It was a tense last 25 minutes, but Millbrook held on for the W. Nice work on D by Caroline Reilly '17, Antonia Koslowski '18, Jen Hughes '17, and Laura Toland '17. Chloe Robinson '19 also had a very good game in the midfield. Keeper Patricia Smith '17 made four saves and earned the shutout. It was a great way to end the season, and best of luck to Ava Quartararo '18 and Tess Toland '17, who will represent the Mustangs in the league all-star game tomorrow.
