After Tough Start, Millbrook Roars Back in Hotchkiss Scrimmage

The Millbrook Varsity Field Hockey Team got another chance to prepare for the regular season in a scrimmage against Hotchkiss on Wednesday. After a lackluster warm-up, the Mustangs came out flat and got caught flat-footed, letting in two goals in a matter of minutes. However, Millbrook got its act together and outscored Hotchkiss 5-1 for the rest of the game. The forward line played well together, as Ellie Muckstadt '18 scored a pair and Jasmine Thatcher '17 and Chloe Robinson '19 each had one. Linemate Emma Gotthelf '19 managed multiple assists. Center mid Riley Croghan '18 also scored for Millbrook on a corner. Moving forward, Millbrook learned a lot from the scrimmage and will look to apply those lessons in practice and in the team's opener at Berkshire in a week.
