Mustangs' Effort Not Enough In Loss
Millbrook School's 3rds soccer team fought hard, but fell short as they lost to a skilled Rumsey Hall team 4-2 on a muggy Friday afternoon.
Adam Lucas scored both goals for the Mustangs, the first off of a beautiful through ball by Arthur Meadowcroft in the first half.
Henry Rosenberg, Andrew Purse, and Henry Carr played a strong game for the Mustangs as they got off quality shots against the opposition's goalkeeper. Wyatt Winfrey, Mike Vance, David Yu,and Jackson Lee anchored our defense with resilient effort and countless hustling plays. Zack Brasser continued his strong play in the midfield by constantly chasing the ball, and Ian Connelly, Matt Gosiewski, Mitchell Austrian,and Gavin Schneible brought great intensity in the middle of the field.
David Waterman played solidly in goal stopping 11 of 15 shots including one penalty kick. The Mustangs will be home this coming Wednesday, October 9th against Canterbury.
