Millbrook Shuts Out Kent

Sam Tarnasky
It was an exciting game on Saturday night at Kent. The scoring opened early when Melissa Sheeran, assisted by Emma Hart, scored 2 minutes into the first period. The girls kept the momentum going strong by scoring just one minute later; a top shelf snipe by Emily Even, assisted by Cora MacKenzie. Kent rallied and played hard to take back the momentum but Millbrook's high energy and control of the ice remained solid. The second period was another high temp exhibition with a number of shots on goal both ways. Trovato came up big with the saves we needed while the whole team played solid defense and worked as a unit to protect their lead. The score remained 2-0 going into the third period. In the third period, Sheeran scored again, assisted by Megan Ahern and Geneva Wagoner. The team battled hard to the finish, earning Trovato her first shut-out this season.
