The Boys Varsity Lacrosse team traveled to Canterbury for a 2:30 PM faceoff. Millbrook got off to a slow start and gave up 5 goals in the first quarter making it 7-3 at halftime. Probably the best second half that the boys have played all year, we closed the gap to a 7-6 game, shutting out Canterbury completely in the third quarter 3-0. Unfortunately, Canterbury prevailed and scored two more in the fourth quarter to take the victory at 9-6. Simply put, Canterbury played 48 minutes of lacrosse...Millbrook played 24. Perhaps the best part of the afternoon was catching up with former teammate Zack Fuller (Canterbury '09).
The Mustangs offense was lead by Schmidlapp ('08) (1g), Benjamin ('09) (2g), Baily ('08) (1g), Baldo ('08) (1g, 1a), and Harvey ('10) (1g). Bennett had a great game between the pipes stopping 12 shots and creating some offense with solid clears.
After a few days off this weekend, the boys will return on Tuesday for practice to get ready for a solid Brunswick team on Wednesday at home.
