Millbrook @ Winchendon

After a long bus ride, the Mustangs showed up in Northern Massachusetts to play the Boys of Winchendon. After a hard fought game, and a wonderful comeback, the boys still fell short one goal in a 6-5 loss. Winchendon came out quick scoring a goal of their own, and Millbrook answered right back with a hard fought goal from Matt Abbott (09'). We worked hard and at the end of the first period, the score was 2-1 Millbrook, with a goal from Dubuc (09') later on in the first period. The second periods haven't been going to well for the Boys, resulting in 9 goals in two second periods within the last two games. In the second period vs. Winchendon, they put in 5 goals, with one more from Millbrook, Resulting in a 6-3 Winchendon lead at the end of the 2nd. The third period is where we really started to get a jump in our game. With consecutive penalties and a bench minor penalty from Winchendon, Millbrook had a 5 on 3 power play for a  good amount of time. With great effort, Millbrook popped in one on the power play from Bryant Doerrsam (08'), and even a short handed marker from Evan Haney (09'). Goals came from Abbott, Haney, Job, Dubuc, and Doerrsam. The Boys head to Kent on Monday for a re-match from the Scimmage one week ago. Good Luck...
