In a back and forth game on a blustery, overcast, frigid day, the Mustangs battled a tough Suffield team to a 0-0 tie, even after one overtime period. Both teams had plenty of opportunities to score, primarily off corners. Suffield had an excellent corner unit; played to draw corners because they had one player in particular who could hit zingers from the top of the circle. However, Millbrook's hardy defenders denied them clear shots at the ball, and Morrison had a fine game in net, with 8 saves on the day. Fracchia was especially stalwart on defense, as were Small and Ehrenreich, who snuffed Suffield's two lightning fast forwards' fast breaks time and time again. The OT team, comprised of Burdis, Kane, Anthony, Fracchia, Small, Zublin and Morrison in goal, played gritty offense and dominated the overtime, with many offensive opportunties. Millbrook out shot Suffield in OT 6 to 2, but couldn't find the net. That's a long way to travel for a tie.
