Millbrook welcomed Oakwood Friends School to campus on Parents’ Weekend Saturday and had our hands full in the first half. The home team was flat as it took the field and discovered quickly that the visitors had no intention of going quietly. Determined play by Oakwood’s Rumack resulted in the first score of the day. Millbrook struggled to pull even, doing so after 30 minutes of play on Baldo’s tally. The second half was a different story as the Mustangs came out with enthusiasm, scoring decisively in the third and seventh minutes. Fiore netted the game-winner on a superb header and Baldo added the insurance goal. At this point, the team took control of the contest. Strong play from all members of the squad stymied the determined Oakwood side. Derby, Voges and Sinclair played especially well in the midfield and Farrell and Lehrecke contributed nicely in the back.
