After a struggle in their previous outing, Millbrook was looking to improve their performance against Hotchkiss. On a beautiful day, the Mustangs took the field for their second away game of the season. Hotchkiss jumped out to a 2-0 lead as Millbrook took a little while to warm up. At the half, the Mustangs were down by just one goal after Ned Pierrepont ’10 found his twin brother Will ’10 streaking to the net to start the scoring for Millbrook. The second half brought more great back and forth action. Matt Fuller ‘09 found the back of the net to tie the game at 2-2. Hotchkiss matched Millbrook soon after to take a one goal lead. On a great drive to the cage, Kent Grossi ’09 tied the game at 3-3 with a great bounce shot to the top left corner. The play was physical and intense until the final whistle. Ned Pierrepont ’10 scored the game winner in the fourth quarter. The entire team pulled together for the come from behind win. The game was won at the midfield where the Mustangs threw several great stick checks to regain possession of the ball. Millbrook will be back in action at home against IMS for Parents Weekend on Friday April 27th at 4:30PM.
