Wallis Suda '04

Ask Wallis Suda to describe what Millbrook gave her, and she doesn’t hesitate. Back in 2012, she shared these thoughts:

“Millbrook, a place where you learn to live and work together, paved the way for my future,” she reflects. “My way of thinking and day-today problem solving in relationships wouldn’t have been as strong as if I had not lived within such a strong, productive community—a community that does not stifle individuality, but cultivates, challenges, and refines it so that it’s a benefit to both the person and the larger culture in the course of a lifetime.”

Today, Wallis says, these words hold more truth than ever.

She is the founder of Feronia, a luxury home wellness brand launched in the fall of 2025 and built around the idea that the textiles closest to your body should be beautiful, natural, and designed to support you through every stage of life. Based in Los Angeles with her husband and two young daughters, her career has taken her from the foundries of Laos to the ateliers of Calvin Klein, from the looms of northern France to the family-run mills of the American West.

But the thread running through all of it—an abiding belief in craft, community, and design in service of human wellbeing—was spun, she will tell you, at Millbrook.
