A back and forth battle the entire game but the Mustangs were determined to win the first game of the tournament. Trovato saw 42 shots and Gunnery saw 32 in the first three periods. After ending regulation time 0-0, the game headed into overtime. With 1:15 left in OT, Millbrook's Melissa Sheeran'14 took the teams second OT shot on net and made it count. Sheeran was assisted by Marianne Thomaris'12.
