Ousseni Bouda ’19 and Shakur (Shak) Muhammed ’21 are two of the greatest soccer players in Millbrook Mustang history. Now they’re showing out in Major League Soccer (MLS).
A forward on the San Jose Earthquakes since 2022, Bouda is having the best year of his career. Just eight games into the 2026 season, he’s already netted a team-leading four goals—including his first career brace on April 19 against Los Angeles FC:
With Bouda leading the attack, the Earthquakes are 7-0-1. They’re tied for the lead in the Western Conference with the Vancouver Whitecaps FC.
Over in Nashville, Shak Mohammed made his MLS debut on April 18. The forward made the most of his debut, scoring his first MLS goallate in Nashville SC’s 2-0 win over Atlanta United.
With a record of 6-1-1, Nashville sits atop the Eastern Conference. The team acquired Shakfrom MLS NEXT Pro squad Orlando City SC in the offseason, giving him an opportunity to shine on the big stage.
