Puerto Rico’s LBP—the second tier of the country’s professional basketball league—held its draft recently, and a Millbrook alum had his name called. With the No. 5 pick in the second round, the Yauco Cafeteros selected Marcos Wiscovitch Frontera ’26. The 6’5” forward is a freshman at Interamerican University of Puerto Rico, and he’ll also play for the school in the Liga Atlética Interuniversitaria (LAI).
“He is a solid defender and a strong shot-blocker,” noted a local media member in an Instagram post reposted by Yauco Cafeteros. “Wiscovitch possesses a versatile offensive skillset; he can score from long range and is also a capable ball-mover. He will be making his debut in the Puerto Rican league with a team that is hungry for success and eager to make a deep run.”
Marcos played all four years of his high school ball at Millbrook. His squad made the NEPSAC playoffs all four of those seasons, including reaching the Class B finals in his IVth form year (2023–24).
