A Strong Second Half

Joe Raciti
The mustangs played a competitive second half, but couldn't dig themselves out of a hole.
Considering we were down six goals early on, the coaches were pleased with the determination the Millbrook players showed in the second half of the game today against Berkshire. Captain, Michael Philipp, led the team with a rousing half-time speech that must have moved the needle, because the mustangs looked sharp on the back nine. Leo Hou scored soon after the whistle, and second-half goalie, August Svensson, made several nifty saves. His punting out of the box also kept our opponent backtracking. The ride August got from his teammates after the game (see photo) was well-earned.

We were grateful to the Berkshire coaches for hosting us for what turned out to be a fun contest on a lovely fall day. We'd also like to thank the fans who made it out to the game, and Ms. Pages for the post-game cookies.
