Suwaibatu Mohammed ’19’s soccer journey has taken her from the Right to Dream Academy in Ghana to Millbrook and James Madison University, around the world, and back. After spending time playing in Cyprus, she’s now returning to the U.S. to play for Vermont Wild FC this season.

Based in Manchester, Vermont, the club competes at the highest level of amateur football in the Women’s Premier Soccer League (WPSL). Suwaibatu joins the Wild after helping Cyprus’s Omonia Nicosia FC win the Cypriot Women’s Super Cup in 2025.

Millbrook community members in the Hudson Valley and New England areas will be happy to know that watching Suwaibatu take the pitch for the Wild will be easy. The team plays road games in New Hampshire, Connecticut, and New York—their schedule can be found here.

Congratulations, Suwaibatu, on finding a new home for your soccer talents in Vermont! Athletes like her who compete at Millbrook School have an excellent shot to play in college and beyond. In fact, 20 Mustangs signed to play in the NCAA this year alone, and two alumni hockey players recently turned pro.
