Jazmin Mejia Makes Southern Conference All-Freshman Team

In just one year at Millbrook, Jazmin Mejia ’25 made an oversized impact on the softball diamond, rewriting the Mustang record books and leading the girls to the 2025 WNEPSGSBA Championship game. Unsurprisingly, she’s already making a name for herself at UNC Greensboro, earning Southern Conference All-Freshman Team honors.

Jazmin played 51 games for the Spartans in the regular season, starting 42. She slashed .245/.333/.302, striking out only 10 times in 106 at-bats. Playing in the infield and outfield, she posted a .944 fielding percentage, helping her team to a 39-17 record and a first-place finish in the Southern Conference.

Jazmin and the Spartans are now focused on the Southern Conference Championship Tournament. They’re scheduled to play their first postseason game at 10 a.m. on Friday, May 8, and the action will be broadcast on ESPN+.
