BV Basketball Makes Playoffs

The Mustangs are going trophy hunting! Boys varsity basketball grabbed the No. 5 seed in the NEPSAC Class B Small Tournament, and they’ll begin their chase for a title on Wednesday, March 4 at 3:30 p.m. (ET) on the road against No. 4 New York Military Academy.

Despite a sub-.500 regular season, the boys had enough quality wins to earn their spot in the postseason. They face a tough challenge in the first round against a team they narrowly lost to earlier in the year, 56-49. But first-year head coach Garvin McAlister has the Mustangs working hard, and they’ll be fully prepared to avenge that loss.

If they win, they’ll play the winner of No. 1 Kingswood-Oxford/No. 8 Greens Farms Academy in the semifinals on Saturday, March 7. The finals will take place on Sunday, March 8, at Western New England University, and that game will be livestreamed here at 1:00 p.m. (ET).
