A New Tradition?

Despite a tough loss, the mustangs invent a new post game tradition.
The mustangs took on a much improved Trinity Pauling squad and, despite pulling ahead with an early goal in the first few minutes of the game, fell behind before the end of the first half. Leo Hou added two more goals to his yearly total as the team took the chance to try out an aggressive new formation.

I'm thrilled I was able to capture one of the most joyful moments of the day, which happened after the final whistle. I reminded the team to "pick up the goalie" (hat tip Abbott Cooper for pushing us to be better about this). The players, jokers that they are, decided to literally pick up our goalie, James Magid (see photo).

We'd like to thank the Trinity Pauling coaches for letting us borrow a couple balls before the game, and also for doing their part to keep a respectful game atmosphere. We'd also like to commend their left defensive player, number 2, who was a talented player but also demonstrated fantastic character when getting us a couple balls before the game. When one of his teammates suggested that he was being a little too nice, he said, "Treat people the way you want to be treated." Well done, number 2. You've got a new fan.

Thanks to the Millbrook parents who made the trip to TP and who provided us with post-game Duncan. We play for you and we hope we made you proud.
