Alum’s Soccer Club Wins Primavera 1 Championship
Millbrook is connected to one of the best football leagues in the world through Giuseppe B. Commisso ’00, who owns of Serie A club Fiorentina. While ACF Fiorentina isn’t having its best year, currently sitting just above relegation, Giuseppe’s U20 squad gave him and the Fiorentina fans reason to celebrate recently, as they won the Primavera 1 Championship at the end of May.
“I am incredibly proud of our young players, the coaching staff, and everyone within the club who helped make this historic achievement possible,” Giuseppe said on Instagram. “This victory demonstrates the strength of our youth academy, the talent we are cultivating, and the future we believe in here at Fiorentina.”

This is Fiorentina’s fourth Primavera 1 Championship title and the first since 1983. After finishing the season atop the Serie A U20 table, Fiorentina earned a first-round bye. They beat Bologna 2-0 in the semifinal on May 24 and then delivered a 2-1 victory over Parma in the final on May 28.
