Revisit Day brought excitement to campus on Friday, as newly accepted applicants experienced Millbrook for a day. The entire community—students, faculty, and staff—pulled together to welcome potential Mustangs, giving them just a taste of the unique boarding school life that awaits them.
Accompanied by student hosts, our guests went through an entire academic day at Millbrook. But first, they attended the Extracurriculars Fair at
Casertano Hall, where they talked with faculty and students representing the many opportunities for enrichment on campus, from clubs and sports to music ensembles and student publications.
Assembly followed the fair, giving visitors a close-up look at how students take the lead on campus—and at how we like to have a good time when we gather. That good time this Friday included a dance competition and the presentation of a
Scholastic Award Silver Medal. After Assembly, students attended classes with their future classmates, while parents attended faculty-led panels and an address by
Head of School Jonathan Downs ’98 to learn more about our
academic programming and
mission.
The day closed with a student panel in the theater, during which current students shared why they chose Millbrook, offering an inside look at how welcoming and nurturing the community is. They spoke passionately about the relationships they’ve made and the opportunities they’ve taken advantage of as Mustangs. Although it was the final event on the schedule, many families stuck around to tour the campus and the
Trevor-Lovejoy Zoo, watch athletic practices, and generally get better acquainted with our place and people.
Revisit Day reinforced the fact that Millbrook has world-class facilities, a beautiful campus, and all the academic, arts, and athletic opportunities a student could want. But ultimately, all who attended learned that it’s the people who make Millbrook one of the best boarding schools in the world. Our visitors got a firsthand look at the community that makes this place so special on Friday, and we’re beyond excited to welcome them into the fold in the fall!
We have one more
Revisit Day planned for Tuesday, April 7.
