Coming off a disappointing loss to Cheshire Academy, Millbrook showed up ready to play against The Gunnery. Millbrook's full-court press and trapping defense, sparked by captain Sam Brundrett '08, forced several turnovers which were converted for scores at the other end. Aleks Jeftic '08 added to the run with three 3-point baskets. Midway through the first half Millbrook held an eleven point advantage. However, Gunnery raised their level of play and surged back to take a 4 point lead with five minutes remaining in the game. Having learned from being in this situation on previous occasions, the Mustangs kept their composure and closed out the game with an energetic run punctuated by Millbrook players diving all over the court for loose balls. Both of Millbrook's centers summoned great performances: Lynn Harrington '08 led with rebounds and blocked shots while Jae-hwa Lee '09 showed some much-improved post-moves on offense.
