Fall Academic Honors Announced
On the first day of classes following winter break, the Millbrook community joined together in the Flagler Memorial Chapel to celebrate the many students who earned fall 2025 academic honors, including High Honors Roll, Effort List, and Honors Roll.
Head of School Jonathan Downs '98 opened the ceremony by introducing English Instructor Lewis Feuer, who shared eloquently about his 2025 sabbatical and the life of the mind. Academic deans Eve Whitehouse and Jarratt Clarke then read the name of each student being honored for their hard work in the fall semester.
Here are the criteria for each academic award category:
- High Honors: A student must carry an academic average which is among the top 7% of students in their form, with an average of 86% or higher and no grade below grade below 80%.
- Effort List: A student must receive all effort marks of either 1 or 2.
- Honors: A student must carry an academic average of 86% or above with no grade below 80%.
