Alumni Mustangs Making Headlines

Aaron Case
It’s always exciting to see Millbrook graduates go on to play sports at the next level. There are many Mustangs currently playing in college and professionally, and lately they’ve been making headlines.

Here’s a quick roundup of what four of our former student-athletes are up to:

Ethan Kessler ’22 | Gettysburg College

A senior on the Gettysburg College lacrosse team, Ethan Kessler was recently named a USILA DIII Preseason All-American. The attacker earned the All-American nod with an incredible 2025 season, in which he was the bullets’ third-best scorer, racking up 43 points on 31 goals and 12 assists.

Tommy Burke ’20 | Boston Cannons

After a brief stint with the Las Vegas Desert Dogs in the National Lacrosse League last year, Burke is bringing his game back to the East Coast. The faceoff specialist inked a one-year deal with the Premier Lacrosse League’s Boston Cannons in December.

He’ll compete for a job with Boston’s current faceoff specialist, Zac Tucci, who posted a 43.9 percent win rate in 2025.

In a victory over SUNY Canton on January 23, Piper Smith netted the game-winning goal for the SUNY Plattsburgh women's hockey team. It was her third goal of the season on only 15 shots, helping the Cardinals to a 13-6-0 record so far this season.

Amadou Fall ’25 | Lincoln University

Amadou Fall added his name to the Lincoln University basketball history books on January 21, when he blocked 8 shots against Elizabeth City State, the most swats by a player since the team joined the NCAA DII’s CIAA conference in 2008.

His outstanding play throughout the season earned him a CIAA Defensive Player of the Week award and helped make the Lions one of the top defensive teams in the country.
