Maddie (Fuller) Shapiro is a pediatric nurse whose career has been shaped by a passion for helping children and families. After graduating from Millbrook School in 2010, she first earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Roanoke College, then discovered her interest in healthcare and returned to school to earn her bachelor's degree in nursing from Quinnipiac University. She later completed a master’s degree in nursing education from the University of Bridgeport, combining her love of patient care with a commitment to teaching and mentoring others in the field.

Throughout her career, Maddie has worked in several healthcare settings and held different roles within pediatric nursing. She spent time as a travel nurse, caring for patients while adapting to new hospitals, teams, and environments. She also worked as a pediatric oncology nurse at Yale New Haven Hospital, supporting children and families through some of their most challenging moments. Today, she works in pediatric primary care, helping children stay healthy and supporting families through everyday health concerns.

Maddie’s journey shows that career paths are not always linear and that being open to new opportunities can lead to meaningful and rewarding work.
